Claudia is a graduate Masters of Music Scholar from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated with a BMus (Hons) in 2010. She started out training in Pop, Jazz and Musical Theatre singing, studying at Italia Conti, Laine Theatre Arts and Guildford School of Acting – here she was also a highly acclaimed dancer and actress, studying ballet for 15 years and gaining her ‘LAMDA Gold Medal’ in acting; she was also accepted into the ‘National Youth Theatre’. She was then taken under the instruction of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and recorded an album and a year later was successful in the hit TV show, Pop Idol Series 2 in 2003. Having now grown into an Opera Singer, she has sung in many venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican, and in concerts and festivals around London and Surrey, raising money, primarily for ‘The Children’s Trust’ and ‘The Stroke Assocation’. She had the privilege to tour with GSMD in the opera Mascagni’s ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’, performing around Italy and the Barbican, London. She won 1st Prize of The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors Ensemble Prize and did a successful season with the BYO doing La Boheme at Sadlers Wells, London. Recently, she did a series of Opera Scenes in nationwide concerts, as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Leonora in Fedelio, Agatha in Der Freischutz and Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica with the GSMD Opera Ensemble. She sung her debut at Wigmore Hall in May 2011 and joined the ‘The Witt Opera Studio’ as a soprano in 2013. This year, she is excited to be the leading Soprano in the Opera Premier of ‘Musica Invectiva’.
As well as performing in theatres, Claudia is available for Weddings, Funerals, Concerts and Parties, covering all genres of music- Opera, Classical, Pop, Musical theatre and Jazz.
